Following the biodynamic calendar "Stella Natura" for planting, care and harvest and using a variety of green manure, cover crop and living mulches, compost and soil amendments, a balance is maintained for strong soil health, vitality and nutrient dense foods. While Whitefoot Farm is not a USDA certified organic farm, chemicals or synthetic sprays are never used. In addition to actively farming one acre (an old horse pasture) two hives of bees are kept, laying hens provide eggs, broilers provide meat, and there is a growing orchard of flowering fruit trees.
