Farming Practices: The Urban Farm at Crabtree Farms is a research and market farm. The Urban Farm cultivates about 5 acres for growing vegetables, herbs and cut flowers. There are two greenhouses for plant propagation. The Urban Farm annually grows over 80 varieties of sustainably cultivated crops to retain diversity as well as to test specialty crops.We follow organic practices and choose to not use harmful chemicals, herbicides, or pesticides on our crops.
